Breastfed to bottle

Can anyone offer advice for getting a breastfed baby to start taking a bottle? My DD seems to not know how to suck on a bottle tit....

How old is she? Is it for expressed milk or formula? To be honest bottle taking is a skill in itself you just persevere and try different ones and different teats. My DC liked Medela Calma as I introduced it at 2 weeks to supplement feeds with EBM and he was fine with it

Try different teats. I went through a number with my daughter. She struggled with silicone teats as quite hard to suck and preferred the latex teats (brown boots own)

My baby never took a bottle from me because she preferred the breast.

She would take a bottle of expressed if I was nowhere to be seen or heard and she was with a familiar person. The temp of the feed was important and so was having a drop of milk on the teat to brush against her lips so she got a taste to tempt her with.

Look up paced feeding too. It's the method to bottle feed responsively and ensure baby doesn't take milk too fast or take on too much.

I wrote a whole post on this! Also struggling.

Thanks for all your replies and wisdom! She is 12 weeks old and although I'm happy breastfeeding, it would be really helpful to express some milk so my DH/Mum can look after her. I'm also thinking ahead to weaning in a few months time.

I was using Tommy Tipee bottle because it came with the breast pump but I just bought a MAM bottle with latex tit so will give this a try!

She has taken a bottle twice but surprisingly she will only feed from me and not my DH but since then she refuses it!
