I'm nearly in tears as I write this, my 4yo is miserable. Well she seems to be having a real hard time anyway. Shes always needed a lot of attention, she has phases of playing well by herself but generally she needs entertained. I think this last week or so she has realised that her younger sister and I have a life while she is at school and its hit her hard, shes super clingy and wants to spend every second with me and gets so worked up if I ask her to entertain herself. She can talk for england which is lovely but overbearing. Shes not getting on well with her sister atm, dd2 is only 18m and isn't a sharer and dd1 struggles as she does sometimes want to play with dd2 but then gets annoyed as dd2 cant play "properly".

Shes also being really hard on herself, shes amazing at reading and maths and it a sponge of knowledge, she excels so so well in the classroom but she wants to excel physically. Shes much smaller than her peers and not as athletic, she keeps saying she wants to be good at something physical but shes also not willing to learn properly. I've said she can go to football/gymnastics/dance and explained if she wanted to be really good she would need to listen to the teacher and practice what shes leant in class at home but she doesn't want to, she just wants it to happen now. Tonight shes been crying that she wont ever be good at anything and while I listed lots of things shes good at she wasnt happy and said those things weren't important. It broke my heart. I feel like shes got a million things going on in her brain. I try and give her lots of reassurance and we do so much together I just want her to be happy

Sorry if I've rambled
