Days out with 7/8 month old

Does anyone have any ideas on days out or things to do with a 7/8 month old.

We have a local Animal farm/ would this be suitable, would they understand?

What age can they start going to soft play.

I’m a ft mum and so far we just go on dog walks/ and swimming. I’ve done a few baby classes but I just find they’re at awkward times and I prefer to things when it’s convenient for us.

Yes go to soft play?, lots are free under one start finding your favourite.
Sea life (baby in a sling so they can see more)
Just start trying places that are in your area so you know which are worth going to.
The zoo again prob won't pay for baby.
Your not in Lancashire are you? I have a list! X

At that age we did a few classes, soft play occasionally, lots of walks and meeting up with friends but I also took him to stuff I/we wanted to do - shopping, art gallery, coffee shop, more walks. A farm trip would have been completely wasted on my DS at that age!

At that age I'd just go to things you find interesting - save soft play and farms etc for the toddler stage when you have to take them out of they trash the house.

Yeah don't bother with the animal farm. Are there sensory play sessions near you? I took DS to a few that were free at local childrens centres.

But mostly I did things to keep myself sane - lots of nice walks, brunches and I also went to the parent and baby cinema screenings most weeks.

Take him to stuff that you like. It's fine to do kiddie stuff if you want to but he won't know the difference. Restaurants, cafes, museums, friend's house, walk in the park, shopping mall, the beach etc.

I also take my baby to the aquarium to show her the fish but honestly that's more just because I like it 😁 she doesn't seem to take any more pleasure in that than she does in waving a salt shaker around in a cafe while we grab lunch with a friend.

Hello Lancslass, I am a new Dad & have a 8 month old baby boy. I have him on my own one day a week whilst my Mrs does clients. I’d love to see your list as I am also in Lancashire!

Lancashire list please 😊
