I just moved them up hen the first size started to be a bi of a struggle to fasten round them, intrestingly move DD up much earlier the DS2 yet she weight significantly less than him

I moved DS up far earlier than I needed to because I was a fool and went by the weight guidelines! He'd probably have only just grown out of his little ones now

Oh well, have been able to play with lots of fluff.

I only got into cloth full time when dd was 5 months so went straight for the size 2's thinking she'd soon be the right weight anyway-she has only just reached 20lbs now at 15 months lol-forgot to factor in the slowing down of weight gain...
They were massive on her to begin with but probably started to fit her nicely at around 9 months or so, before that i just got used to her nappies being as big as she was!

DD moved up to size 2's at around 6 months. she was a bigger baby and they were getting tight and were becoming prone to accidents and leaks up the back (bf poo!) which I think is a good sign of needing to move up - i certainly wouldnt recommend doing it just because the weight guidelines say so. Theres nothing stopping you getting a few and slowly introducing them to see how they fare if you think its time.

I say, keep them in the smallest nappies you can, obviously if they still do the job. I hated when we had to go up a size in wraps and my poor ds had nappies up to his armpits.
You could always try buying one of the next size to see how it looks and use it as a guideline.
I think my ds went into larges/size 2 at around 6-7 months. Look at my nappy blog I have written his age beside the piccies, so you can get an idea from that. It's a bit of a blur to be honest. I think he was around 17 or 18lbs when we moved him up.
Hope that ramble helps a bit.
