Photo books, journals, apps how do you record memories?

Hi, I have a 3 year old boy and 3 month old girl and want to keep some sort of journal/ memory book of them growing up. Does anyone else keep journals or create photo books, or do you have an app like life cake? I would like to write quite personal notes to them to look back on so wondering whether I keep a journal for each child and then one for family adventures, but that sounds like a lot of different journals! What do you do to record memories for your children? Thanks xxx

I've just started with photo books. My little one is only 4 months old and I had planned to do one at each birthday but DH suggested we just do calendar years instead and I'm so glad as for 2019 we had SO many photos from her being a newborn, first christmas etc.
I use snapfish and while it can take a while to put it all together, the quality is brilliant (they do lay flat photo books which are great) and you can add text and other design elements too.
I loved looking through family photos as a child so I want my little one to have the same opportunity as she grows up.
Let us know what you decide to do!

Old(ish) thread, but are there any more thoughts on this, lovely MNers? Also looking to make one.

Bonusprint do some beautiful quality photo books. They always have discounts and offers on too.

I've made a photo album every year since 2009, I've just added more memories about DS to it. I keep a little notebook that I write things in every month, like his favourite toys and things to do. Just a little snap shot of his life! I'm pregnant with DC2, they can share the notebook and album.

My 2019 album was 90 pages long though, it gets pricey!

Would really recommend tiny beans to log each day / as often as you want to. We use it to share pictures with family too but it's also lovely for us to look back through. You can make photo books from it, though I haven't tried that, have just stuck with Photobox.

I’ve done yearbooks for the last three years as I have hundreds of pictures in my phone. I’ve used Photobox and Colourland. Groupon always have deals for 100 page photobooks. I usually paid about £20 for a 100 page book and then another few pounds for postage but it’s cheaper than printing out hundreds of pics.
