Baby poop on carpet- cleaning help!!!

Morning, we have a bit of a disaster (being slightly melodramatic) overnight and need
some wisdom from the combined expertise of mumsnet!! OH changed the baby on the floor in our room (townhouse so different floor to the nursery) and she pooped while he was getting the fresh nappy on. She’s 11 weeks old so we’re still taking neon yellow baby poo all over our lovely pale grey carpet. I scrubbed it last night and have had vanish carpet on it overnight but I can still see it. We’ve just sold our house so I need it out the carpet ASAP but would rather avoid getting £££ carpet cleaners in (although will if necessary!). Any tips for Getting baby poop out? I’ve already ordered another portable mat on Prime to avoid it happening again!

Ah, a pootastrophe! I found 1001 cleaner did the job.

I would try a squirt of white vinegar. I use it for the baby grow poop stains and it works well.

Baby poo is biological material so take a small amount of bio washing powder/liquid, dilute it but keep it fairly strong, and work it in to the carpet. Leave for a bit (say 20 minutes) wash off, repeated. It WILL come out.

My toddler tipped an entire pot of Dulux paint on my carpet and it came out so a bit of jobby should be grand.

Bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar.

How close to the window? Sunlight will work on it.

Ooh wow thankyou! I’ll have a go at it today and hopefully a combination of all the above will work! It’s already faded loads but the area just has a yellow/greenish tinge now Hmm!
