My 1 month old seems hungry always

My 1 month old baby seems to be hungry all the time he weighs 10lb 5 oz and has 5 oz every 1 1/2-2 hours, is there anything I can do to make him not as hungry he feeds this much all through the day and night.

Feeding this frequently is normal for a new born. Are you doing paced feeding?

I remember this time, just sit back, get a boz set and if you're BF, stock up on food and drink and settle in for as long as it takes! Enjoy the cuddles

It's normal but you could bring it up with the health nurse next time you see them to double check that everything seems fine.

It is very tiring, and just when you get used to it, baby decides to change their patterns.

When he finishes 5oz, do you think he wants more or is he definitely full? Try him with 6oz and see if that lengthens the time between feeds a little.

(I’ve never heard of paced feeding either).

He’s full after 5 oz but will mention it when next see HV.

This is a really good article on paced feeding. It basically encourages baby to not gulp down the milk and work out Shen they’re full, rather than just draining a bottle in minutes however much is in there.

it's completely normal. their bellies are tiny so they need topping up regularly. Our baby went longer between feeds around 10 weeks but now his 4 months and in sleep.regression, growth spurt and development leap were back to more frequent feeding
