My child’s father is taking them away for 2 weeks 24 hours away. This is literally gonna kill me 😭😭

Aww firstly big hugs. Do you get a say or are you ok for them to go? Do they want to go?

You need to keep yourself very busy at work/home. Arrange lots of things to do over that two weeks, perhaps take a holiday yourself?

Thank you, nope no say in it, wish I could afford a holiday myself but I’ll be home with my other child 😭 it’s gonna be so hard

@Sosad345 oh no, there must be some special things that you can plan? picnics, walks, cinema, camping ? How many children do you have and why is one being left behind? Are they ok with being left out?

It WILL be fine, you’ll just need to keep busy, take your mind off it x

We do have some nice plans but it’s so bittersweet, yes it’ll be nice but my eldest will be missing 😢 I’m dreading it

Of course you’ll miss them and be sad, that’s only natural. But it'll be ok. They’ll be back in no time. Just spoil your 7 year old, play dates with friends etc. Then maybe have a nice family meal, all together when the other two children are back home.

It will be fine. I take my dc away on holiday alone (dh and I are happily married but it’s lovely to have one on one time with them). I’ve also traveled to the other side of the world for 2 weeks at a time and left them home with dh. We both enjoyed time with them and also getting a bit of time to ourselves (or in your case, time when things are a little bit quieter).
