Trying to buy everything we will use for the first 6 months before mat leave and despite having a toddler I've forgotten what babies need!

We have

  • cosleeper cot
  • sleeping bags (the gro company ones)
  • bottles
  • sterliser tub
  • sterliser tablets
  • double pram
  • single pram
  • ergobaby carrier
  • change mats (one upstairs one downstairs)
  • nappy cream
  • play gym and lamaze toys

To buy

  • baby bouncer
  • nappies
  • water wipes
  • (sleepyhead...maybe)

Plenty of clothes left from DC1.....am i missing anything?!

Milk?

slipperywhensparticus · 19/01/2020 07:22

The 6 month rule as far as I remember is something to eat somewhere to sleep and something to keep them warm and clean (I'm guessing bath but I didnt even use a baby bath with my third)

Oh yes we have some as I've started adding it to the usual shopping

I'd get a perfect prep as it was a lifesaver for me!

Bibbidybobbitysplated · 19/01/2020 08:55

We did have a perfect prep last time, but then discovered the WHO says its OK to make up 24hrs worth of milk in one go and store it (they did say it wasnt the preferred method but it was safe) so did that and sold the perfect prep....need to check the WHO hasnt changed their stance on that actually.

Sling?
Sleepyheads aren't recommended so I would steer clear

Bibbidybobbitysplated · 19/01/2020 10:04

Oooh yup, we have got the car seat i just forgot it on the list and the angelcare bath seat too

Need new mattresses thank you!!! And the gifts from one to the other.

Sling, we used the ergobaby from birth last time so will do the same i think. Is there any reason i shouldnt?! Deliberately got the ergobaby as it put legs into the M shape as was advised at the time

I prefer not to use a dummy but do have a couple just in case left from last time

Thank you for all the ideas its so helpful

Also aware the advise on sleepyheads has changed but it was the only place DC1 would sleep except one me so not buying one terrifies me! Going to try without and see how we yet on though
