How can I find out if ex has been arrested

My DD father is a waste of space
He hasn't contacted her since 7th Jan and not been online on his phone since the 8th
I'm
Convinced he's been arrested but how can I find out
Will the police or Social services tell me?
She is 7 by the way

Check your local courts hearing lists.

Redred2429 · 17/01/2020 16:42

Court hearings listing would be the easiest way

JonesyK · 17/01/2020 18:08

Only crown courts have listings as far as I can see
Also if he's been arrested but not yet been to court there won't be anything anyway

Can you phone 101 out of concern? Though if he has been arrested and doesn’t give permission I don’t think they can tell you.

PumpkinP · 17/01/2020 20:50

Is he a criminal or something? Just odd that this was your first thought otherwise Confused

JonesyK · 18/01/2020 07:40

Yes he's a dodgy one.

I heard the police had been looking for him but nothing since.

Do you have mutual friends you can ask?

JonesyK · 18/01/2020 08:53

No he doesn't have friends
Because of his behaviour his family don't bother with him either so I can't ask them.
I heard he was being looked for for threatening behaviour. He and his wife constantly argue and fe shouts at her all the time according to my DD
If the threats are against his wife then I don't want DD going there (she isn't ATM because of the rows)

application under claire's law for anything to do with safeguarding, otherwise its court lists and family ?

hannah1992 · 18/01/2020 17:59

If he'd been arrested on the 7th or 8th he would have had a court appearance by now. I think youd only ne able to request info under Claire's law as hes an adult they wont be able to give you any other info.

Is there a specific reason you need to know? If hes a "dodgy one" and doesnt behave very well then would it not be better for dd if he was out the picture?

JonesyK · 18/01/2020 19:10

Not specific really.

She's going to notice he's not been in touch and I'd like to know.
It's been rough and go whether I let her over there again anyway due to several incidents over the last 6 months or so
If he's been arrested again he's had his last chance with her.
SS have told me previously if I'm concerned not to send her and this might just be the last straw.

He's been jailed before so I wouldn't be surprised if he has again.

I've checked the county court listings but haven't found anything.
