Standing up?!

How to teach ds to wee standing up?! I am clueless, and so is my mum as we both only have sisters! A comical scene in our bathroom today with me trying alternately to hold ds in position and get his willy in position!! Ds doesn't seem to have the knack of holding it right. There must be an easier way! Then naked in the garden he weed standing up for the 1st time like a complete pro, no problem - must be male instinct there?? I guess I need ping pong balls? Dh is at work so no help there and ds's grandad just seems embarrassed!

Ds is 3.2 btw and seems keen to stand and hoping it will help with his dislike of public loos...

I don't believe I am going to say this. You can buy little balls with smiley faces on that you put in the loo and they aim at them. They don't go down when you flush and you just throw it away and put a new one in every couple of weeks or something. I have all boys so it all seems to come naturally.

I think they have to learn to push the equipment forward without leaning forward.

Thinking about it I hold clothes up with one hand and hold their shoulders back, press my knee into buttock area to push willy forward. Leaving one hand free to guide but watch out for the shuffling forward, you might need to stop that with a foot. Sounds a bit like twister but never thought about it that hard before.

Why oh why didn't I have a girl

Thankfully he is only 8 months so I have some time longer to avoid this...

you didn't have a girl because they can't pee into a bottle in an emergency when you are out and about or stuck on a motorway

Wilkie · 29/08/2007 19:38

I have to say - I always wanted a willy for a day. Just to see what it is like to pee standing up

toomanyballs · 29/08/2007 19:43

is that all you wanted it for?

FranMay · 29/08/2007 19:46

Didn't they have some kind of fake willy thing for girls that they gave out at glastonbury so the ladies could wee standing - you could get one or I might have been imagining this!?

No but I thought you would think I was weird if I said I wanted a wank

toomanyballs · 29/08/2007 19:50

i'm so glad someone else said it. I couldn't bring myself to do it for fear of sounding weird

toomanyballs · 29/08/2007 19:52

Sorry my last post and yours missed each other. You would not be weird as blokes seem to enjoy it sooo much
