It's been 17 days since my toddler saw his cousin who had chicken pox. So far he has nothing. Will he definately get it?

How long did yours take between exposure and illness?

My little one has just had chicken pox. Took 15 days here for the spots to come out from the day the other child came out in spots. But they spent every day together at the childminders so he could have caught it from the other child before his spots came out! If that makes any sense Confused Can take up to three weeks for spots to come out though according to the nhs website!

2 weeks exactly for my DD to catch it off her cousin. My friend’s boy was 19 days to catch it from his sister though, they thought he might get away with it!
