Your 7 month old eats better than my 16 month old!

Mine has had:

Breakfast: Pikelet & 2 fingers of watermelon
Lunch: Mini maltloaf & a banana pouch

He'll have a veggie Sunday dinner for tea

Nuttyaboutnutella · 12/01/2020 15:16

polkadotpixie my 2 year old is another story. He's had Cheerios, toast, a toddler oat bar thing, Jaffa cakes, a kinder chocolate, and a big of Mini cheddars 😂

17 month old DS

Porriage
Few bites of my toast

2 fish fingers
Spagettie hoops
Satsuma
Yoghurt
Few bites of chicken breast from my salad

Small kids chocolate bar
Grapes

For tea later- cheesy pasta with peas and Sweetcorn (his favourite)

Milk before bed usually 7-9oz

Lazy day for me today, usually cook a roast.

IhaveaBigBum · 12/01/2020 16:58

My 14 month old...

Breakfast: Morning breastfeed and Porridge

Snack: Fruit pouch
Lunch: rice n peas, garden peas, avocado on toast, roast chicken and half a tomato.

Snack: yogurt and half a satsuma

Dinner will be pulled pork with rice n peas, garden peas, spinach, tomato and 2 fish fingers, then bed time milk feed.

He has literally only just stopped eating pureed foods last week and all of a sudden can chew and swallow without gagging. Meal times used to be so stressful as I can't help but feel that if he doesn't eat enough then he won't sleep through the night and I just wanted him to enjoy his food. Now it's like a switch has been flicked and he is relishing meal times and I am now enjoying them too.
Sometimes he does this really cute thing when I go to feed him of shutting his eyes, clamping his mouth shut and poking out his tongue to taste it first, then inevitably he approves and eats it.

TriangleBingoBongo · 12/01/2020 18:00

L-chickpea veggie bites (recipe from babyled weaning), avocado fingers and a yogurt.
D- pasta with a homemade tomato sauce (bbcgoodfood), a few Aldi tomato wheels (to prevent a meltdown whilst food cooled Grin) and another yogurt.

TriangleBingoBongo · 12/01/2020 18:01

For ideas Ella’s kitchen has some great recipes and so does the babyled weaning cookbook.

Zelda93 · 12/01/2020 18:49

My 8 month old had:
Breakfast - 6oz milk, Porridge, bit of toast
Lunch - one slice of bread with cream cheese, some banana, strawberries, cheesy wotsits
Dinner - premade beef, sweet potato, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, two Petit yoghurts and some choc buttons.

She loves her food and so batch cook all her dinners and freeze them for the month.. I do all same veg and just add salmon or chicken or beef so she has a selection.. can't say I'm very imaginative with the lunch's though!! She had strawberries for first time that was funny watching her face I don't think she's very sure of them but I'll try them again..

Selfsettling3 · 12/01/2020 19:01

SexlessBoulderBelly I miss those days. My just 6 month old is too nosey to feed during the day so mostly does it at night.

Food wise we was offered

Breakfast- cooked pears and squished blueberries
No lunch as it was nap time
Dinner - cucumber, pepper and pita bread

Although she chewed a lot I think it was all spat out

Pilot12 · 12/01/2020 19:17

My 7 month old had;
B - Cow & Gate Creamy Banana Porridge (two scoops, the recommended four scoops is too much, he just manages two scoops).
L - Half an Aldi Purple Pouch (again he just eats it, a whole pouch is too much)
T - Half a Piccolo Stage 1 Pouch and two wafers.

He's EBF on demand and drinks a lot of milk still.

Dinner was mixed bean tortillas

A random TUC cracker DH found in a lunchbox

Breastfeed (nap time)

A banana, a petits filous, some sweetcorn, a miniscule amount of cheese and ham, a bit of cucumber, a cut up cereal bar (very random lunch)
