Hi all,
Looking for some advice, I have a 4 month old that has been having multiple melt downs for hours the past 4 days. Temperature is fine.

I'm assuming it's teething, but doesbt have flushed cheeks, no dribbling and doesn't like cold teething rings.

Due to Ashton & Parsons gel and Calpol every 4 hours not working I'm starting to think it's something else. Doctor has just fobbed me off.

Just wants to sleep in my arms and to be carried, so obviously feeling sorry for himself :(

Any ideas? I can't see anything visable wrong with him.
Thanks
Lauren

He might be coming down with something, or hungry, as babies sometimes up their milk intake around 4months....?

If you’ve taken him to the doctor and his temperature is ok, he’s keeping milk down, nappies are normal and he’s broadly ok when you’re cuddling him, it’s likely he’s fine — your arms will be tired though!!

This is where slings help. Not all upsets have physical causes, and around 4m they start to wake up to the world and it can be overwhelming and scary- that's why he is happy when held.

He's taking bottle fine, but he's getting himself in such a state I know he's hungry but he can't take bottle for crying so much.

Took him swimming for first time on Sunday and he was terrified. I'll try putting the sling on :)
