Toddler keeps doing 'loose' poos

DS is 2.1 months and attends nursery for days a week. Over the past couple of months he's been sent home from nursery for having three loose nappies - their policy is to send any child home for 48 hours if this happens. The first time it happened, we thought it was a bug. However, every time since, he is otherwise clearly well. It's frustrating because obviously two days off nursery means DH or I (who both work) have to take the hit. I'm also obviously concerned about DS's health.

I have googled it, seems teething might be a culprit? Other causes are too much fruit juice which he never has, the nursery think it might be too much milk. He does love his milk but I wouldn't say he has an excessive amount?

It happened again today, not a problem as we are both off work. If it happens again I'll call the GP, but just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this?

For info, his poo isn't watery, it's just loose.

My youngest is like this, she very rarely has solid poos, not sure if it’s a dairy intolerance but it doesn’t bother her (doesn’t complain of stomach pain)

Thanks. Yeah I thought maybe a dairy intolerance but he's fine otherwise and there are no other symptoms that you'd expect to appear? Think I'll start to keep a food diary for him and see. It's strange because it only happens at nursery- with us he usually just has a poo a day?
