.... taking my young daughter to the toilet with me in a small, but busy, boutique coffee shop/cafe.

We came out the toilet, to a packed cafe, and she declared at the top of her voice

"Mumma, why was there all that red thing down the toilet?!"

Mortified!!! I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole!

Lesson learned, never take your child to the toilet with you when you're on a heavy period!! 🙈🙈

My 8 year old son said to me this morning 'mam what was all that noise coming from your room last night? It sounded like someone was jumping on the bed'

First time we've ever been caught having sex in 9 years of being parents.

I actually wanted to die. I can't look him in the eye.

Ofc I just told him I was jumping on the bed because the mattress felt lumpy 🙈

Why is that a fail? Why is it embarrassing that your body is working as it should?

@MisfitNinja reminds me of time years ago I was in a cubicle in a shopping centre toilet when I heard a woman and her dd come in. They went into the toilet beside me and the little little girl says to her mam "mammy, why is there all poop in your pants?" Blush I'd say the mam was mortified!! I can only imagine she was at the end of her period... and really hope she hadn't actually shit her pants.

@Jossina probably doesn't like to share it with all the males and females trying to eat cake lol. It's not anything to be ashamed of but it's still private

My 2yo DS saw me in the loo and afterwards told my mother in law ‘mummy had a little blood’
