Temperament of a 4 year old

I have one child and she is nearly 4.5. I thought she would follow in my footsteps and be very mellow. Most of the time she is but at the moment for about half an hour each day she becomes what seems so angry and frustrated and grunts and is generally just a very different child to the rest of the time. When I ask her what is up she just tells me she feels grumpy and angry but she doesn’t know why. I’m not really sure if this is normal behaviour for her age and how to handle it. Some of it could be due to tiredness as it can happen near bed time but it can be during the day. Afterwards she seems very remorseful and apologetic. I tell her it is ok to be grumpy or feel angry but in all honesty I’m not sure whether I’m saying the right thing. She started school in September so has had a lot going on and it feels like her temperament is changing and I don’t want it to! Is she just being a normal 4 year old?
