Is this normal or do I need help?

I have postnatal depression which I've been on meds for for 3 months. I think they're working well and lifted my mood.

I have a 6 year old as well as the baby and the 6 year old really has me withered. I can't wait to go back to work tomorrow for a break. Is this normal, do others feel like this at times? It's not all the time but I just feel so agitated today and feel guilty about it.

It’s two days until Christmas everybody’s children are driving them up the wall.

@selfsettling3 oh god I'm so pleased to hear that. My two are so badly behaved and horrid right now!
It can only be the impatience and anticipation of Christmas but my god!

I have had a shit day with my kids. Arguing, whining and generally been a pain in the ass!

My first day not working for two weeks and I want to go back already. Not just you. As previous poster said it's nearly Xmas and the excitement gets to them!

Don't feel guilty it's totally normal, especially at this time of year when you are stressed and they are excited. I've always enjoyed going to work for a break, it's hard work at home with the kids especially now when you can't get out so much to burn their energy off because of the weather. Everyone has their moments and I very much doubt there's one parent who hasn't ever been stressed and overwhelmed at times.

It is completely normal! I'm secretly gutted I don't have work this week as it's the only "me" time I get
