Twos had its moments but could have been worse. About to turn three and I've noticed a change. Talks back, tells me off, very demanding. What words of advice would you give for getting through this stage?

Find a consequence that really matters to him/her and use as an incentive.... Avoid having a baby during the 3 year old phase (like I did!)

Follow Andrea Löwen Nair and Janet Lansbury on Facebook.

Will be back with more but that's my quick one :) Janet is my current fave.

This too shall pass, this too shall pass... also, start buying wine in boxes, it’s more economical Grin

DS turns 4 on the 27th 🎂

Set reasonable boundaries and be consistent.
Pick your battles.
Give them simple choices and let them be as independent as is possible (...and wise)
Tiredness and hunger hit 3 year olds like a tidal wave.
Find a nice supportive preschool.
They are still little, and trying to be big - it's hard work so be kind to yourself and kind to them.
When they go off like a neutron bomb....this too shall pass.
Cuddle them loads
Have fun

Find a consequence that really matters to him/her and use as an incentive....

Consequences should always link to the behaviour. Otherwise it’s a threat.
