When to send birthday invitations

Hi, sorry if this has been done a lot before. The party is 4th birthday and on ĺ1st Febuary. Nursery is closed all next week until 2nd January. Should I send the invitations out this week, and risk them getting lost in Christmas stuff, or wait until 2nd January?

We have had this dilemma, as DS has an end of Jan birthday!

We sent them out before, but only because our break is much longer - it's summer here, and so it's the long summer hols.

In your case, I'd send them out when you go back in early Jan, definitely.

Thanks. It's only just occured to me that we will have this every year. So may as well decide a plan now! I'll go with January.
