My children won't listen

They won't go to sleep. I am upset. 8 yr old boy being horrid.

How many dc?
What ages are the other ones ?
Do they share?
Is this normal for them or a one off or a newish thing?
Are you the only adult there or do you have a partner ?
What are they doing ?

Sorry BackforGood. Having a bad week with the kids and I just ended up in tears from exasperation. I am single parent. Dad eow. DS(8) & DD(10)..

We have had a lovely week. I've watched three of their Christmas concerts and choirs, had one to one time when one kid was off sick for a day, weekend at theatre, I've bought their random school bits they needed last minute,we played a game last week, I've taken them to their friends, etc.

They're just being defiant, not listening,being rude to me, answering me back, treating me like dirt, talking to me like I'm their equal. I'm just so upset . They're being emotionally manipulative by saying I don't love them, don't care about them,they hate me etc .

They're being ungrateful too. I am so upset. I messed up parenting them . They're behaving so ungratefully.
