Second pregnancy currently 7 weeks pregnant anyone else hate it love the end result but just hate pregnancy and labour and trying cope with a 2 year old any positive advice of getting through especially with sickness

Yep. I hated pregnancy both times. It’s a means to an end...

Sorry that wasn’t very positive! Getting outside for a walk, paying attention to good things that happen. I found eating whatever I wanted helped but I did get enormous both times...

You're at the worst point. I felt worse in those first ten weeks than the last ten weeks. It's like a complete chemical shutdown of your body, but your eldest wants to play with you and gets up too early and won't nap when you want them too!

It gets better. Promise.

I despise pregnancy. I cannot wait to never ever have to do it again. As an only child myself, I was determined to have two but both have been horrific. I’ve had HG both times, second time much worse. Dealing with multiple hospital admissions, vomiting, severe anaemia & basically being bed bound for 16 weeks with a 2.5 year old has been extremely tricky. Thankfully, I am now over the worst at 26 weeks but I still feel constantly sick & exhausted. Due in March & I’m counting the days!

Yeah I hated it. It was so exciting waiting for the period not to arrive. Then testing and finding out I was pregnant was the best feeling. 2 weeks later the sickness kicked in. My mood went low. Drinks tasted horrible. First baby I slept and laid down, nibbled dry food in bed and muddled through the day. Second baby my first was just two so it was much harder. The exhaustion and nausea made those early weeks really rough. I remember sitting in the garden probably around end of may early June. Probably 8/9 weeks pregnant feeling so sick and just thinking I wish these weeks away so badly. It really got me down.

What helped me get through was just doing what I could do and felt up to doing. Sometimes just taking dd for a walk was a struggle. We spent lots of time at home in the garden and Infront of the tele. My partner let me go to sleep early. I spent alot of time laid on the sofa in those early weeks supervising my daughter playing. Then around 12-16 weeks I slowly got back into things.

Looking back I realise now it was a special time. It soon passes and your into the nicer middle stage.

Why did nature make it such a yucky time? If it wasn't for how yucky it made me feel is be having more. I just know I wouldn't cope with pregnancies and taking care of the two I already have.

I found for sickness to just eat little and often. Find a drink you like and keep hydrated. I found I felt extra worse if I didn't eat and drink x

Know I'm not alone and yes I grew up with siblings so
I didn't want my son to be on his own so that why I decided on a second I honestly can't wait for it to all be over because I'm certain I don't want anymore I hope the sickness passes soon especially over the Christmas period it just horrible
