Strange behaviour

I got the boiler in my kitchen and because it's the colder season I have my boiler on (open plan kitchen living room) My 5 year old DS has started to act strange everytime it starts firing up . He has to run to the kitchen and say with excitement THE BOILERS RUNNING ...and then he runs to his bedroom and slams the door...like acting as if the boiler is chasing him or similar. Then He comes out from his room and acts like nothing has happened. He can sit and do something interesting and be engrossed with playing but as soon as the boiler makes noise he's off. Just what the heck? Xmas Hmm

Have you asked him (gently) what's going on?
Is he acting out something he's seen on a cartoon or in a book?

He's not answering when I ask. He just says " oh no it's the boiler, run!!" He has never cared about it before but he's more aware of it now Hmm

And another thing he gets upset if he cant watch me use the loo. If I flush the loo and he is not in there he gets upset and says I'm angry at him because he wasnt allowed to watch me use the loo and flush. Like wth? Confused
