Hi, my DS has just turned one and we are introducing cows milk just wonder how much he should be getting? With formula he was having three 7oz bottles a day should we just stick to the same? He loves his bottles so a bit worried about cutting anymore out! Blush

I would do it gradually one bottle at a time. I would continue with the same amount

Bottles need to be replaced with cup. He needs a minimum of 350mg of calcium a day and multivitamins.

@dementedpixie I was planning on starting with his lunchtime bottle then after a few days his morning bottle then work up to his night time bottle. I know a lot of people give them follow on milk but my HV said to give cows milk after 1

@Selfsettling3 I will try switching bottles for cups but I think that will be a losing battle as he doesn't have a dummy he is pretty attached to his bottle ! And I have vitamins in the cupboard to start giving him

You could even give the lunch one in a cup as an introduction to milk in a cup

Tiredmumssquad · 09/12/2019 19:35

@dementedpixie yes I will give it a go! Tbh we really struggled to get him down to 3 bottles but hes eating a lot more and drinking a lot of water out his cup so will try milk in it instead
