11 month old baby spots on face?

My 11 month old DS has had red spots on his cheeks and under his eyes that have been coming and going for the past 4 weeks. He’s totally fine otherwise. The spots are red and look more prominent when he wakes from a nap or sleep. It’s not like a rash, more like red pimples or blemishes that fade then a new one appears.

Any ideas what this could be? The HV told me to see the GP and we have an appointment tomorrow. In the meantime, has anyone experienced this and know what it could be?? He’s not sick or got a temp and goes about his usual business. HV said baby acne only happens with newborns

No change in washing powder or diet and no spots anywhere else!

On the off chance this gets to you. Did you ever find out what the spots were? My ten month old has been experiencing the same spots for a few weeks. Thank you

My 9m old is experiencing this now and I’ve been to the gp. He’s teething and has soo much drool that she thinks it’s basically drool rash as he’s rubbing the salvia all over his face. She’s given me a very thick emollient cream to put on his face to see if it helps.
