10 month old with a sickness bug, I feel so anxious

Would appreciate a handhold. My 10 month old had diarrhoea on Wednesday morning which I thought was clearing up. Nov before last she woke at 1am and started vomiting which continued all night. It slowed down in the day but she vomited twice last night and has bad diarrhoea. She's drinking water and some milk and managing to keep it down, refusing all food.

She is so lethargic and when awake just whimpering and sad which is not like her. I had two phone calls with the GP yesterday who said to continue with fluids and basically let it run its course.

DH is working all weekend (until midnight tonight) so I'm on my own and just so worried.

If she's keeping fluids down she'll be absolutely fine and it will run its course, honestly. It's not much fun for anyone but very normal. They go limp but spring back quickly.

Aaw it’s horrible when they’re poorly with D&V - I had a tandem event with my twins, DD had it for 2 days and I thought I had lucked out with DS as he seemed fine; the day hers cleared up his started!

Like the PP has said if she is okay with fluids and is drinking enough then she should be fine, I make water based smoothies for mine when they’re poorly so I know they’re getting some fresh fruit/veg down them but that depends on how far along your DD is with weaning. My DD really likes it when I freeze banana segments and whiz them up in the blender with some of her milk when she’s got a poorly stomach.

When mine were tiny I just couldn’t understand how so much could come out of such a little body and it worried me so much, but as they were keeping their water and milk down they got through fine.

Good luck OP and I hope your DD feels better soon - handhold here Smile
