What's the best way of disciplining nearly 4 year old?

i have 4yo twins and we use time out. so, when they do something naughty, say 'no. we don't do -action- or you will need to go into time out'. if they continue, take their hand and walk them over to designated corner (show them this when they are calm and explain why they will have to stand there. do this before starting to use time out else they won't understand). say 'you need to stand here for 3 minutes, and then I will come back to talk about why we shouldn't do -action'. get them to explain why doing -action- was wrong, and then move on (don't mention it again). all the best x

We do time ins rather than outs. We sit down and have a discussion about why they've been a CF and why it's not the best way of achieving their aim
