Pampers Baby Dry

Has anyone else had trouble with these? Since buying some just over a week ago, we have had five bad sleep-time leaks, necessitating a change of clothes, sheet, and mattress protector. We had never had a leak before. My dd is 5m, 14lbs, and well within the Size 3 weight range which goes up to 20lbs. I'm stuck with about 80 of the damned things and thoroughly fed up.

oooo I was just thinking about starting this thread, 90% of the time we use pampers baby dry (also size 3) always been fine (dd2 is 7.5months now) but we also have had 4 nights of waking where shes wet etc, think I will email pampers

DS did leak last night with one on when he doesn't usually, but this is the statistics of small numbers.

They have changed them haven't they? I have found them getting heavier and wetter quicker but no leaks as yet...

Good luck with the e-mailing, there isn't a complaint section on the website. I used the 'Questions' section and got a lot of standard bumf back.

I really suspect there is an issue with the new Baby Dry - the 'blue strip', which i take to be the extra waterproof layer, just doesn't come far enough up the back imo to catch girlie wee. The strip comes right up to the edge of the nappy at the front, so would be good for a boy. We even wondered if we had bought a gender specific pack by mustake, but there's nothing on the wrapper to say so.

same as llulu but tbh ds is in size 5 nappies now - from 25lb I thinka dn he's 28 so in theory size 4 would be ok still but a they leak and b his bum isn't as snug inside as with the 5's so it might be worth tryiing the next size up to see how you go.

D&C - no differnce for a boy! lol - the crystals have come out a few times when i've used the size 4+ swopped to the 5's and are ok again now.,

we had leaks with baby dry, don't think its to do with size of nappy but the fit round the legs. Try their active fit range instead or use Huggies

tbh i've found the huggies for us are a no go - they don't hold aywhere near as much as the pampers and also seem to fill up really quickly. althou i've also noticed the pampers needing to be changed more often - put that down to DS drinking more thou as it's now summer?

We've always used Tesco own, but thought I'd try Pampers as they were on offer, I bought Pampers Baby Dry for my 17month old and they leaked at night. Same with Huggies.

Back to good old Tesco dry - not the Active fit tho, they have changed them and she leaks with them too.

I haven't noticed a leaking problem. My DD is 5 months and 17 1/2 lb and we are in size 3. Our only problem is they aren't big enough even though they are supposed to go up to 20 lbs.

Only just found out that there is a size 4 maxi that starts from 15lbs, as well as a size 4 that starts from 20 lbs (?) (found out after we'd bought and opened 72 x size 3 )

I have a child who wees a lot so have been through most brands.

Active fit is much better than baby dry - they fit more snuggly and so less leaks. Going up a size means they are more absorbant, as long as they still fit properly.

The only difference I have found between huggies and pampers is the cut/fit of the nappy so it depends on the shape of your baby.

I found tescos own complete shite and ended up getting refund from store. I tend to find cheaper brands in general don't fit as well round the legs and so leak.

The bursting thing is annoying though cos you end up hoovering the crystals up for weeks.
