Hello, I'm 9 weeks pregnant tomorrow, during the night I had bad pains in my tummy like something was pulling/tugging a string where my pubic area/lower tummy is and it's still hanging there now, I went to the toilet to wipe just now as I felt a little wet and it was light brown discharge, I'm so worried can anyone help☹️

Hiya. This happened to me in my second pregnancy. My babies nearly two now. It was my cervix basically. I had private scans to put my mind at ease. I had a light period type bleed at 5 weeks. A streak of blood at 9 weeks and two weeks of bleeding and spotting from 14 weeks. Then at 16 weeks it stopped. It's wayyyyy more common than we realise. It's very scary though. You should contact the midwifery unit and see about an early scan.

Miscarriage is usually crampy, heavy clotty. The tugging pains are probably growing pains. Sending you lots of luck and love. Give someone a call. How is it now? X
