4mo stopped sleeping

First time poster - I'm at a loss.

4mo EBF DS has started waking every hour during the night. By the time I feed him and settle him again, I get maybe 15 sleep before he's up.

Husband tries to soothe him, but he just screams until I boob him. After a bad night, I am so physically sore that the idea of feeding my baby has me in tears.

He slept through from 6 weeks to about 3 months, then was sleeping 7-5 until around a week ago. My periods have just returned and I'm worried it's affecting my supply.

Any advice greatly appreciated - I don't want to supplement with formula, but I'm beginning to feel like I don't have a choice.

Sounds like the four month sleep regression. Hope it passes quickly for you, everyone different, it can but it doesn’t always pass quickly. Best thing you can do is adjust to it by catching up on sleep other times if you can. Introducing a bottle etc won’t harm but it also won’t necessarily be a quick fix.

To put into perspective, DC1 had it for about a week, DC2 went on for months and she never slept properly after that either. You do get used to it.

4 month sleep regression. The struggle is real!!

Have you got the wonder weeks app? Babies also go through a developmental leap around this time which seems to coincide with the sleep regression. We are hopefully on the last day of the leap, it is so accurate. He was sleeping 7-6am until day 1 of this leap. Now is up from midnight every hour. It lasts around 4-6 weeks I believe. I'm Hoping he goes back to sleeping through because I am totally exhausted Brew

Just remember when your up in the middle of the night.. your not alone xx
