What is this on a night nappy?!

I may be the most stupid mother ever.
But what on Earth is this sticky blue tab on the back of my DD’s sleep nappy?! I obviously checked the packaging, it doesn’t say anything on there...
Am I being massively thick??

You pull it and it becomes sticky tape to seal it after use.

Its to wrap the nappy up and stick it shut

When you take it off you rip the sides of the nappy, roll it up and use the tab to stick it shut. If it's just wet you'd probably just pull it down but if they do a poo it's a godsend!

Whaaat?? How have marginally raised two children without ever seeing this?!
To be fair DD1 never used night nappies..
but why don’t they do this on normal “day” nappies I wonder!

This is always on the pull up type nappies as you don't have the tabs to fold the nappy up when it's wet/dirty

I'm guessing it's a pull up nappy? Pampers have them on their normal pull-up nappies, Sainsbury's have them on the sides. Others don't seem to have them, which is annoying.

I've never even heard of a 'night nappy' before though!

They have them on all of the pull ups we've used in the last 3 years, night and day ones!

We used Aldi pull ups and they didn't have the blue tab I don't think (it's been a long while though!) We were given some Pampers ones and they did have it. Probably a price thing.

For normal nappies you just use the side tabs to stick it together
