How do I know if my little ones actually teething ? Ds and I both had a 24 bug last week but it seems to have gone and ds was fine for a day or two this morning/today he's inconsolable he won't be down dribbling everywhere hands in his mouth, won't really nap is he teething or is it something else ?

Sounds like teething to me. Does he have really red cheeks as well? That's another sign.

If you put one of your knuckles in his mouth will he gnaw like crazy? My little boy is teething and does that.
If he doesn't exhibit other signs of teething I would go to the doctors for peace of mind.

He has red cheeks sometimes of the day and yes he loves chewing on fingers we won't use a teething ring 🤦🏻‍♀️ he'd rather chew on mine or his dads fingers haha I can't feel anything coming threw though or his gums aren't white or anything I might take him to the docs or to see the HV if it carries on thanks Smile

If you think it's something else always worth taking him to drs to get checked over but teething can last for ages before the sign of a tooth it's the pushing up that hurts them the most not the tooth breaking through it's like when we get tooth ache my DD is currently teething and same as your DS no signs on teeth on the gums but has flushed cheeks from time to time is fractious dribbling a lot more chewing on anything she can get her hands and mouth on including my fingers.
My DS was like this and he didn't get his first tooth through until he was 13 months old had months from about 6 months of on and off teething 🤦🏻‍♀️

You'll never know. Try having a baby who has allergic reactions too and trying to work out whether the symptoms are bug, teething or allergy. Babies are so annoying Grin
