Monkey Music... Opinions please?

Currently looking for a Friday class to take DD to on my day off work after maternity leave. Monkey Music is run on Fridays, which would suit us. However, I can't help but being sceptical about the fact they ask for a joining fee, and I have heard they play songs on a CD - not live music. Has anyone tried it and was it worth the expense? We don't mind paying more if there is an obvious benefit (eg Waterbabies, the pool was warm and the classes were lovely)....

I haven’t personally but My sister in law went for almost 4 years with her little one, only stopping when she started school! She is very musical and really rated it.

@modgepodge thank you! That is reassuring to hear :)

You don’t go to baby classes for the class. You go so that you can get out and meet other Mums.

So therefore it totally depends on the other mums.

Yeah the joining fee is annoying, I wish kids’ activities wouldn’t do that. You get a t shirt and a cd for it iirc.

I did it because I had a very inquisitive non sleeping winter baby and was desperate for ways to keep her entertained and get me out of the house. She did really love it as a baby particularly during the 5 month-crawling stage. Once very mobile it was a bit less of a success. Also depends which teacher you get, some are better than others.

When mine was a baby we went to Jo jingles. She loved it. But we did a few taster sessions before we decided to pay any money. They should have that option.
I would try out before I paid any money
