Hey just wondering if someone can shed some light. My daughter is 4 months an she usually sleeps through the night just fine. But recently she has been fighting her sleep and has started waking up through the night an is quite hard to settle. Is this just temporary an like some sort of phase ??

4 month sleep regression. Sleeping through the night at this age is extremely rare and while it may continue there is a chance that it may not as her needs change.

Definitely 4 month sleep regression. Google it. If you have a good sleep then it can be a big shock

Our 11 week old DD has been sleeping amazingly the past few weeks, long stints between 5.5hrs - 9.5hrs (one off) a night. She's had a few nights recently where she wakes every 1.5-2 hours. Perhaps the start of The 4 month regression, it is going to be haaaaaaard....! Lol

Baby sleep isn't linear. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad! It's constantly changing. Newborns can sleep weirdly well and then this can change when they move out of the newborn pattern of sleep into the same pattern we sleep in (my DD was sleeping through at 8 weeks until around 16. At 9mo she generally has at least one wake-up a night still). Just take each day as it comes!

Thank you guys for your responses. Yeh I have had a look an I think she's going through the growth spurt phase. She gets very annoyed an just fights her sleep. Let's hope she gets over this phase very soon as it's quite draining Lool
