Hi, im a mum of 4. No friends or family support. 1 of my children is being assessed for child hood schizophrenia, now im mega stressed out. With my own illness (m.s) caring for my dementia mum and now this. If i speak to the school safeguarding teacher who has helped with my daughter's assessments, that im struggling and i dont know how to cope anymore. Will this look bad and will i be reported to ss for it?

It depends on what exactly you say. But it’s not a bad thing. You need to contact ss for support. Ss want to support people not remove their children.

Ss can help you access support for your Mum, yourself and your children.

No you won't be reported, it's not a child protection issue nor safeguarding - school may suggest a referral for extra support but not necessarily social services, could be a family support team, most councils have those and they're not compulsory but extremely supportive. I'm an Education Welfare Officer in 4 secondary schools, trust me, school will praise you for admitting needing help, it's not a weakness to admit you're struggling :)

@Catarinah you are right. I was offered to do an early intervention form which im booked in for next week, to highlight what kind of support i need and then the school can help seek it.
I felt like a weight had been lifted just through asking for the help, and the teacher was lovely and so understanding.
When i broke down into tears she took my 1 year old off me to play with another memberof staff, made me a brew and just listened and advised on how to help my little one who is being assessed.
I just over thought it and worried myself. Thank you @Catarinah & @Selfsettling3 for responding to help me out. X
