Wool enthusiasts, a question...

If I bought something like this or this, could it be lanolised and used over a cloth nappy without a wrap? Or do you need to get "proper" wool wraps/longies?

I would have thought they'd work ok....but i am new to wool so I wouldn't take my word for it!
