Overwatch - opinions please

Just that really. 12 year old ds has asked for overwatch for Christmas. I’m a bit concerned about it being an online game and a shooting game. Will of course be doing my own research but wanted to know others’ views.

It's not violent. Yes it's a "shooting" game but there's no blood, no one dies, it's all very cartoony and tame. But if you're not happy for him to be playing online there's no point in buying it as there's no real way to play it offline and no single player campaign as far as I'm aware!

Thanks cocopops, do you know if it’s still playable if you turn chat off? I mean do you have to be able to communicate with your team members?

I believe you can disable the chat so he wouldn't have to communicate with other players though I'm not 100% sure!
