As per title, which is a shame because am due in a month. It all just seems so disappointing and unappealing- work has been going well but now I need to take time out again, I was in great shape then got pregnant and lost it all obviously, newborns are so boring compared to my toddler. Plus I’m worried about how the birth will go after the last one (EMCS) and feel very detached from the bump.

Anyone else felt this way? Did it all work out in the end? Feeling deflated.

I just remembered I’d posted this months ago and thought I’d update it. Baby 2 came via a much-wanted VBAC, although forceps and 3rd degree tear were unideal (he was just short of 5kgs!). He’s much calmer than his brother although sleeps less well and gets FOMO, so a bit of a Velcro baby for the first weeks. He’s now 8 weeks old and pretty much all my fears turned out to be unfounded. I gained significantly less weight than in my last pregnancy so am already back in normal clothes. I DO want a holiday but the toddler remains the limiting factor, rather than the newborn. Definitely considering number 3, although not for a little while- nice not to be pregnant any more. Thank you for all your kind words when I was struggling; I agree that it’s important to be grateful and stay positive, but sometimes we all need a moan or have a wobble!
