I have picked up a few small toys and board books but would like to get one decent toy/ game for my DD who will be nearly one at Christmas. She is quite active, loves crawling and cruising, and I want something that she will hopefully find entertaining and stimulating for a few months. Any suggestions?

what about a rocking animal like this?

A play kitchen. The one from Ikea is great and not too pricey. My DD is 3 next week and still plays with hers every day.

Or some Happyland to start building a collection. It's been another firm favourite, although we are now upgrading to Playmobil.

Sorry just seen she will be nearly one! I was thinking she already was so my suggestions are probably a bit old for her!

A play kitchen is a great shout. My son just turned one and is obsessed by play kitchens (and my real kitchen!). I'm getting him one second hand.

We got our then one year old a play kitchen and he loved it. He still plays with it 2 years later. We got one from Aldi, but the Ikea one is supposed to be good too.

I'd second a play kitchen and happyland. Mine have loved theirs from age 1 up to around five and play kitchen still gets used even by the nine year old.

Or what about one of those trollies that she could push whilst learning to walk? Mine used to love putting things in the trolley and then pushing it around.

Was going to say the ikea play kitchen too! My daughters still play with their kitchen stuff at 6 and 9! She may only want to bang the pots for a few more months but will definitely be worth it

A kitchen helper tower so they can help you/watch you in the kitchen. I regret not getting one sooner ( I got one that converted into a table too)still using at 2.5

Or a scuttle bug.

We got a paddling pool and used it as a ball pit during the winter and then took it outside as a splash pool in the summer.

A teepee, a dolly pram, a rocking horse, megablocks table, happyland dolls house, ride on x
