I posted a while ago about my ds who is 2.9, he began to show signs that he was ready to potty train but the first try we had crying fits when we went near the potty or toilet, so I didn't push it. As the weather warmed up I left him with nothing on and he was doing really well ... really got the hang of going to either the potty of the toilet (whichever he fancie lol!) but whenever I put pants on him, he would just do it in his pants It was as if the feeling of something on him meant he could just go ... so again I sort of left it as I thought he wasn't ready. Last Monday when he woke up I asked if he wanted to wear big boy pants and he said yes so he chose the colour and although I asked him every hourish if he needed the toilet we had no accidents and we are still in big boy pants today, nearly a week later with only 2 accidents - 1 when I was at work and he was with dh and 1 when he couldn't get his jeans down in time, but he was by the toilet I am soooo proud of ds and just wanted to share his story and give hope to those who think it will never happen (as I did)
