Help needed! Advice please!!

Hi all,

So DD turned 1 in October and has been poorly last week wuth a very snotty cold and cough ahe is better now but has got in the habit of waking up at around 1 or 2am . If i do t pick her up she screams & then when i give in she throws herslef ba k screams louder and is uncontrollable its as if she works herself up so much she doesnt know what to do!

Anyone else experience the same? Or know hpw to calm her down??

Yes, I've had similar to this, generally after they've been ill. They just get used to waking at a certain time.
You've probably tried all of the above. But I used to be in her room as soon as possible, before the crying escalated (to try keep her from being fully awake) and I'd read a book so softly and gradually edge away.
I'm sure it wouldn't work for everyone. But definitely try and get in there before she fully wakes and just try to reassure her it's sleep time
