1st birthday

Can I just ask everyone what you got your child for their 1st birthday? Struggling for ideas

We did soft play with a few friends midweek so it was really quiet.

Baby had no idea lol but loved it and all the mess was left for others to clean up LOL

Also for family (all adults) we did a meal out.

We just had family over for a bbq and cake. We did the same for his second but it was a bit more kid friendly. Third birthday will be more of a kids party.

My nct group still gets together around birthday time and some other celebrations so I didn't feel the need to do anything baby orientated. If there were other babies I wanted to invite I might have done something different

"What you got" suggests you are thinking about gifts rather than celebrations ?

We bought ours some Premium Bonds each. Knew they'd have so much 'stuff' from other extended family members.

This is a combination of all prezzies from the family - a slide for the garden (spring birthday), lots of books, a few happyland animal figures from ELC, an elephant you posted coins into (very into posting things!), a tunnel to crawl through from Ikea, a few teddies of her favourite TV shows.. asked everyone not to go too crazy & not did we but it was nice to refresh her baby toys out for a little older ones!
