Hi all, I am new to this site, hope somebody can help me. Yesterday we were going in the car, and I had to stop the suddenly. My baby is 3 months old. Her head just flopped forward and backward once because it was sudden stop, I am worried if she got any head injury or shaken baby syndrome. Pls help as I am so worried.

Did you take her to A&E yesterday to be checked as her neck & head moved violently?
If not (and I don’t think you did due to your post), I would call 111 and ask their advice?
Is she ok in herself today?

Assuming baby is in a rear facing seat then the seat will have taken most of the force of the impact. Call 111 and maybe take her into a&e so they can keep an eye on her. If she’s fine in herself though I wouldn’t worry too much, get her checked over to be sure.

I didn't t go to A&E

Just realised I didn’t mean impact as it wasn’t a crash but the force of the sudden stop

She is drinking and sleeping normally.

Give 111 a ring. We’re not medical professionals and can only advise what we would do in the circumstances.

Things like this, especially with a young baby, need to be checked over by a medical professional. You should call 111 now to get advice.
