Probiotics to help babies wind

My DS is 16wks and has been suffering since 5wks during the night with trapped wind and tummy pain.

I’ve just been reading online that probiotics might help it. Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I just take probiotic and him get it through my breast milk? Or should I give directly to him?

Before getting pregnant I used to take acidophillus for my IBS. Should I go back to taking that and it get to him through my milk?

My boy suffered badly with trapped wind at night and we use bio Gaia pro biotics as well as the usual massage, bicycle legs etc.

He’s now almost 6 months and it doesn’t seem to be an issue anymore so hopefully it’ll be the same for your wee one.

I get them on amazon.

@Mikewazowskismrs that’s really promising to hear! I bought optibac for babies which were delivered yesterday so I’m praying they help!

I honestly thought it would never end! I ended up having to bring him into bed with me in the early hours every morning for us both to get some sleep but this has backfired as he won’t settle in his cot after about 2/3am and ends up in my bed...can’t remember the last time he woke up in his own bed 🤦🏽‍♀️

Sorry I should say the probiotics are just drops that he gets directly and still does to this day.
