Second Hand Mattress

Would you use a second hand toddler sized mattress for a almost 3 year old? (3 in two month's)

It's from a family friend, looks very clean, has a removable cover which has always been on it and has been through the wash.

I'm uneasy about it but can't decide whether I'm been unnecessarily cautious.

I would, yes. Not for a newborn but for a 3 year old is happily use it if it came from a smoke and pet free home and the cover was washed.

Yes definitely!

Great, Thank you for your replies. I was thinking the same, not for a newborn but ok for a toddler but then was second guessing myself.

I do have a tendancy to be a bit over protective!
