Am I an arse?

Dd6 has developed a sore tummy, same sore tummy she gets at bed time most nights. Because she whimpered & moaned two nights ago, she came into my bed for cuddles. She's trying the same tonight. I've told her off. I feel like an arse. Am I an arse?

Not an arse, but I'd personally give a bit of 'Oh dear, better have a teddy and bed/ drink of water and bed/ quick cuddle and bed', ask if she needs a bucket etc and if she wants a nightlight or other comforting thing. I'd talk about it in the morning, that this is happening often and how it feels or whether she needs to see a doctor (if that'd work, mine knows we only see a doctor if we are really feeling unwell). Is she doing it to keep you there or for attention do you think? Can you rule out actual tummy problems or anxiety causing it? What is her bedtime routine? My DS is younger but since he moved over to cow's milk if he has it before bed he's a nightmare, the same amount at breakfast or lunchtime doesn't seem to affect him but if he has it then goes to bed he's a squirmy, awake mess. My older dd plays up after she's had a cold, it always goes to her chest and she coughs like mad so sleeps in the living room with her dad on the 2 sofas. She loves it and when she's better says she feels coughy so she can do it again.
