What time does your 3 year old go to bed?

What time does your 3-4 year old go to bed and wake up in the morning? Do they still nap?

Mine has 12 hours overnight, no nap but I'm starting to think we need to start putting her down a little later.

Night before my DD started school at just under 4 she went to bed at 10:30pm. (A lot earlier than her preferred bedtime of midnight from 0-2). It adjusted to about 9pm within a week or so. (She was woken at 8am for school.)

I realise that may not be what you were expecting.

Hermie12 · 05/11/2019 19:09

My dd was 9pm when that age and woke up at 7. Now she’s at school she’s asleep by 8

My just about to turn 3yo goes down at 7. She shares a room with her 5yo sister and they both get up at half 7 for school.

Ds is 3.5 and goes to bed 7:30, asleep for 8. Wakes around 7-7:30. No nap.

moreismore · 05/11/2019 19:12

6.30-7.30 depending on the day. Doesn’t nap, sleeps 10-11 hrs (usually 10)

bloodywhitecat · 05/11/2019 19:12

My almost 3 year old is in bed and asleep by 7pm at the latest and up at 7-7.30am, she really is not a late-to-sleep person and if she is up past 7pm she is miserable and tetchy.

Trinpy · 05/11/2019 19:13

Mine goes to bed at 7, asleep by 7.30 and awake around 7.

areyouafraidofthedark · 05/11/2019 19:14

Caterina99 · 05/11/2019 19:21

Mines 4 now, but with no nap then 7pm-7am ish

17caterpillars1mouse · 05/11/2019 19:22

7pm - 6am. No naps

SoyDora · 05/11/2019 19:24

Mine slept 7-7 at 3, no naps. Still do at 5 and 4.
If she’s sleeping 12 hours at night why do you think she needs to go to bed later? Unless you want her to get up later?

Gillian1980 · 05/11/2019 21:20

At 3, dd slept 8-8.
Now she’s 4 and at school she is 7-7.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 05/11/2019 21:27

7-7 no naps here too. Same for our 5yo

DinoGreen · 05/11/2019 22:20

DS 3.5 goes to bed at 7.30 and is out like a light, wakes between 5.30 and 6.30. He naps occasionally still - maybe one day a week and we only let him sleep for an hour max.

NigesFakeWalkingStick · 05/11/2019 22:34

7/7:30-6:30/7 here - DS is 3 and was a brilliant sleeper up until 2.5 - since then it's been a bit hit and miss and he always ends up in my bed around 2am.

I nap him occasionally as he turns into a total menace without a couple/3 naps a week to keep him topped up.

I generally take him up at 7, and he dithers around from anything between 7:15-8pm. Since he's been sleeping with me from 2am (same time every night) he usually wakes around 7-7:30 so roughly 11/12 hours sleep.

BillyAndTheSillies · 05/11/2019 22:47

DS goes to bed between 7:15 and 7:45 and we have to wake him at 7:30 for nursery.

He still naps and the 12 hours at night isn't enough for him because on weekends and days when he stays at GP's, he will often sleep until 9:30. We've got a newborn so don't even get the benefits of the late mornings annoyingly.

mumof2masterofnone · 06/11/2019 14:21

Between 7 and 8 depending on the day we've had, no naps.

We're usually up (with her 6 month old sister) at 7am
