Exhausted

DD is 2.5, only recently started to sleep through the night (was previously waking up throughout the night every single night)
Am now expecting baby 2 and have had insomnia since day 1. Averaging 3hours sleep a night. Am a SAHM and although I recognise I’m not “at work”, I am so bloody tired. DD doesn’t nap in the day so there’s no opportunity to have a nap when she does. OH works full time, often does overtime, so isn’t really around to help out.
I feel like I never have enough energy to be the mum I want to be to DD, and I’m so worried how I’ll ever manage with two.
Anyone got any advice on how to cope with a toddler and a newborn with no sleep? Thanks!

Pregnant with a small child is absoloutley exhausting. Rest assured a newborn and a 3yo is way easier.

I think you need to book either Saturday or Sunday off from family time and use it to properly rest. Your dh can arrange something nice for him and dc1 to do together on a weekly basis.

I have a 3 month old and 3.5 yr old and I honestly feel less tired now than when I was pregnant.

When I was pregnant DD and I would get into my bed and I would let her play on her very locked down kindle while I snoozed.
