Antibiotics & chicken pox

My 5 month old DS was given a 1 week course of co amoxiclav antibiotics on Thursday due to a bad case of chicken pox. None of the spots were infected but paeds were worried some were heading that way.

Since then he is scabbed and absolutely no sign of infection or fever. However, since being on the antibiotics he is getting terrible watery poos and is very uncomfortable with them.

I feel like the poor guy isn't getting a break. Does anyone think it would be ok to finish the antibiotics early?

You must always complete the course of antibiotics (it almost definitely says this on the box). Any concerns and I'd suggest you seek medical advice from the people who spent decades studying to be able to answer that question.

Antibiotic resistance is going to end up being the thing that wipes us all out (if the climate doesn't kill us first).

I agree with @Divgirl2 it's so important

It’s a normal side effect of the antibiotics, it won’t harm him. Finish the course.
