Buggy for newborn and 2 year old

It's very early to be thinking about this as I've only just found out we're expecting no.2 but I'd like to keep an eye out over Xmas/Jan for a buggy I could get in the sale.

I'm due in July and DD1 will have just turned 2. Can anybody recommend a buggy that would accommodate the 2? I'd prefer one that's not super wide as we travel on public transport quite a bit and my car boot isn't the biggest either. TIA

I had a reclining umbrella one, was really easy as it folded small and this was in the days when buses had steps! Mine said from 3 months but I used it from about 4 weeks with a car seat insert to support her head. Was really cheap but can't remember the brand, was a while ago!

I have a similar age gap - have the mountain buggy duet. It’s good - very narrow and furs in my small boot!

It’s not the cheapest but has a good resale value or try to get one on gumtree.

I did sling and single buggy for first 6 months though. Sorry for the multiple posts!!

Citi mini jogger has been amazing for us. Seats recline individually, massive sun hood and folds flat. Not too expensive new either although lots available on facebook marketplace

Will you be using public transport? And do you have a car, and how big is the boot? We have a mountain buggy and it didn't fit in our Ford fiesta 🤷‍♂️ have bought a bigger car! Haha. They are great for buses and trains though as they aren't very wide when up. They just don't fold down very small!

We love our out and about nipper double - you can get them secondhand. I did and will likely sell on for a similar amount.
